No Exit Presents: Patchwork and Audra Duo

No Exit is thrilled to present an evening of dynamic duos, featuring the return of Patchwork (saxophonist Noa Even and drummer Stephen Klunk) for a special one-night only musical adventure. In honor of their 10th anniversary, Patchwork will be performing pieces that were commissioned by the group. The duo has been described as demonstrating “astonishingly tight ensemble” by ClevelandClassical.com and “creating the effect of a hybrid solo instrument” by I Care if You Listen.

Also on the program, will be the newly-formed Audra Duo (Noa Even and vocalist Anika Kildegaard) for a series of transcendent works written for voice and saxophone. Riptide Magazine praised Anika for her “captivating and sensual” sound. As a duo, Anika and Noa invoke a special kind of alchemy which brings saxophone and voice together to dazzling effect.

Kicking the evening off, The Cleveland State Percussion Ensemble will perform a brief opening set of 2 world premiere “pocket pieces”, inspired by composer Juri Seo’s “Portable Percussion Series”, a collection of compositions for small percussion set-ups.
